Announcing Meax’s First Internal VR 1v1 Tournament: “Prime Contender”
Meax is pleased to announce our first-ever internal “Prime Contender” 1v1 VR tournament, exclusively for our team members. Set to take place on August 27th, 2024, this tournament will feature head-to-head matches in the VR FPS game VAIL, where participants will test their skills in a competitive, yet friendly, environment.
Tournament Details
The “Prime Contender” tournament is designed to be straightforward. Matches will follow a BO1 format until the later stages. The format is double elimination, so losing a match does not mean it’s over, there’s still a chance to beat another player who lost their match and come back to win it all. This format ensures that participants can stay involved for as long as possible and really showcase what they can do.
While the event is intended to be low-key, we’ve decided to offer small prizes for the top performers. The first and second-place winners will receive gift cards, adding a bit of extra incentive to give it their all during the matches.
Live Broadcast
Even though this is an internal event, we’re making it accessible for everyone to watch. The tournament will be broadcasted live on our YouTube channel, youtube.com/meaxplay, so whether you’re competing or just want to see how your favorite player fare, you can tune in and enjoy the action.
There will also be a prize for anyone who manages to correctly guess the finishing bracket (or a randomly selected winner if multiple people manage to guess the outcome correctly) You must also be watching the finals to qualify for the prize.
